What is Trafficking?
Trafficking in persons is the use of coercion, force, deception or exploitation of vulnerability to move a person from one place to another and then to exploit that person. Trafficking can be international or domestic; a person can be trafficked within a city. More than 80% of trafficking victims are women and girl children, who are trafficked for sexual exploitation. This may be prostitution, lap dancing, pornography or several other types of exploitation. There are services that can help victims of trafficking.
